Role description: Directed a project to accelerate synergy capture of 'goods for resale' for a large national retailer following the acquisition of a smaller competitor. The scope covered both synergies and regular end-of-year negotiations, primarily for branded goods.
Value delivered: Supported negotiations with over 100 branded goods suppliers, managing more than €2 billion in spend. Realised 60% of the target at the time of roll-off, with the client on track to achieve the remaining 40%. -
Role description: Led a cleanroom project to prepare for Day 1 and accelerate procurement synergy capture for a food and beverage client following the acquisition of a competitor. The project covered raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend across the United Kingdom, Europe, and North America.
Value delivered: Identified more than €30 million in synergy savings. After Day 1, once the cleanroom was opened and the rationale was explained, the savings target was approved.
